INDEPENDENT GAMING IS:

[*] Yudhanjaya Wijeratne (@yudhanjaya), Master Chief and legendary warrior. Actually, he’s the founder of IndependentGaming.net. In real life he’s a journalist for Readme. When he’s not writing, he’s over at 4250games, building games and tinkering about. He has a love of all things indie and a PC that has seen better days. His favorite games are Pharaoh, Deus Ex, Halo and Iji.

[*] Nathan (@VGR_Reviews), prefers his last name not to be known. He’s probably a high-class superspy, but we don’t mind. Point man for interviews, and occasionally he takes a blowtorch to a game to see whether it measures up to his standards. He has run a number of blogs, none of which have ever lasted longer than 5 months. Except this one. Visit his new game development blog here: http://wonderlandgamesblog.wordpress.com/

[*] Joseph (@Lawsome1997), or Lawsome, as the internet-folk know him, spends a lot of time searching for the best and strangest games. He has strong opinions on games and can hold his own in an argument; if you tell him that COD MW3 is the best game ever, he may bite your head off.

[*] Julian Tierney (more commonly known as “Tierney”) is a self-proclaimed grammar Nazi (not a real Nazi, of course) who has previously been the editor of – and occasionally a writer for – both The Independent Gamer and Indiego, which are now defunct. He is best known for looking like he just stepped out of the 1940s and being about as emotional as a brick, as well as being dedicated to (and arguably obsessed with) his Arma 2 community. He is now our proud editor.

[*] Paul Hack (@indiegamehunt) insists that he is not a critic nor a journalist; he is an enthusiast and a fan who likes to write. He posts stuff at indiegamehunt.tumblr.com and expensiveindiegames.tumblr.com, and he is the founder of twinehub.weebly.com. He also dabbles in game design, cartooning, and non-interactive fiction, but most of his time is dedicated to raising his precocious toddler.

[*] Dan Jake Neal (Frolacosta to internet folk) is a self-confessed nerd and enjoys calling himself an indie game developer. When he’s not locked away in his office making games he can be found lurking the internet as his alter-ego. He is known for founding, editing and writing for IndieGo Magazine back in 2010 and currently resides on his own personal blog and Twitter. He enjoys any game with a good enough story to bring a tear to his eye or games scary enough to stop him sleeping for weeks!

[*] Kitty Horrorshow (@kittythulhu) is a skittering digital bone-puppet composed chiefly of three passions: horror, video games, and creativity.  He believes that creativity is the greatest gift and highest obligation of all human beings, and strives to encourage everyone around him to create.  The stranger something is, the more he tends to like it.  He is a prolific Twine-user and nascent game-thing-maker, and his various creatures can usually be found on kittyhorrorshow.wordpress.com.  You must never feed him after midnight.

[*] Ivan Rubinson is a dev, gamer (and now) writer. The dude’s lurking the tigsource forums, looking for awesome indie games to play (and now write about too!), and hopes to someday post a finished game there. According to his research, his PC is a 5 year old piece of junk, made from whatever can’t play Battlefield 3 faster than 24 FPS. Hence, Indie for the win!
