It’s common to see many of Andrew McCluskey [ NAL in the GM communities] on the hot lists of the YoYogames sandbox. The latest of these is Innoquous 4, sequel to the much-loved Innoquous 3. And no, we have no idea what the name means.

Innoquous 4 is a gravity platformer where you control a little round ball. The gravity flips up, down, left and right as you run into little arrows scattered across each level – they’re vital to getting through the devious platforms you face.
There’s no story, and if you’re looking for something along the lines of a Flippin’ Good Time you’ll get tired of this very quickly. Innoquous 4 is as simple as it gets. You guide the ball to the checkered box. Simple. That doesn’t make it any less fun, especially when you want a good five-minute challenge. There’s a vast array of levels ready to be tackled – and to make things even better, you can try them on a host of modes as well – from normal to a bunny-saving mode [grab the bunny and THEN escape; there’s speed-running to do; there’s conditional mode, where each level has a unique condition you must fulfill – i,e: “Solve the level with gravity switched to the left”.

There’s little to say here; there are no visible bugs, and the gameplay works pretty well – although I feel there should have been a bounce to the ball. Nevertheless, it’s a great game for when you want to bend your mind around some gravity puzzles. I highly recommend the download.
